Be sure to follow the fragrance oil’s recommended usage, for example, adding 1 ounce of fragrance oil for 1 pound of wax. Stir well to ensure that the fragrance oil is evenly distributed throughout the wax.
4. Pour the Wax: Allow the wax to cool to around 140°F before pouring it into the container. Pour the wax carefully into the container, making sure not to disturb the wick. Leave around ½ inch (1.27 cm) of space at the top of the container.
5. Set the Wick: Once the wax has cooled to room temperature, remove the wick holder and trim the wick to about ¼ inch (0.635 cm). Then, set the wick in place by gently pressing it into the wax.
6. Let the Wax Cure: Allow the candle to cure for 24 to 48 hours before burning it. After the cure time has passed, your scented candle is ready to use.
